Message: I read one comment that said that the Jewish Holocaust was the largest holocaust? That isn't true. In 2004 abortion killed 7 times more babies than Jews who died in the holocaust. And how can you say that it isn't a feminist only issue? When do men ever get to stop a woman from getting an abortion if he wants their baby? Feminism is wrong.
Message: I am a christian, but i've never been told women were less than men in any way... I was quite shocked when I saw the trailer of your documentary, but now I'm sad. I don't think it's a good idea to despise what other people thinks, I never do that. And I think it's dangerous because maybe some of the people who go watch it will feel encouraged to defend their ideas like if they were better... Nobody has all the truth, because we are human, and pretending we know it all is blasphemous. We shoul learn to respect each other, no matter what each individual thinks, and maybe then things are going to begin working. The last thing I want to say, I've been raised as a christian and I've been teached many things, but the basis I was told to have always present is: love and respect. I wish everyone could apply that, christian or not.
Message: You should not limit women to being baby factory housewives. You should not limit men to being distant breadwinners. Every person on this planet should be free to choose their own destiny. If a man wants to stay at home to raise his kids, he should. If a woman wants to run for the presidency and put family life aside, she should. If a woman wants to stay home and raise her children, she should. If a man wants to work at his job to support his family at home, he should.
You guys confuse feminism to have a blanket definition that any woman who does nothing but have babies and stay home is horrible. This is not so. Feminism wants equality between genders. This means any man or any woman can and should do whatever they want to do in life. Not every woman is meant to be a stay at home mom. Not every man is meant to be a distant breadwinning father. Some people aren't meant to be parents at all.
When Jesus had lunch with tax collectors and sinners and was in the company of lepers, he wasn't showing pity or superiority or trying to point out how wrong these people were in contrast to himself. He was showing respect. Jesus said love one another, and that means respect one another and let them do as they will, provided they respect each other as well.
Yes, a mother who banishes her children to day care because she insists on having a career is not a good lifestyle. But suggesting that all women who hold off or abandon having families altogether is a wrong thing is simply the most out of line and narrow-minded thinking possible. I strongly urge you to reconsider your viewpoint and respect people as people, not people limited by their gender.
When we all meet in heaven, we won't have xxxxxx or xxxxxx or any distinguishing features. We'll just have souls. God will only care about what we have done with our souls, not with the casing it put them in. At least that is what I feel. None of us will know anything until we get there, if there is a 'there' in the first place...
Also note: I strongly hope you put this letter on public display instead of only displaying poorly-written and hate-filled arguments in an effort to make yourselves appear righteous.
Message: God was joking when she made Adam. So why do you hate women? Why do you think we should be subjected to your foul male-oriented thinking? Haven't men made such a complete mess of the world so far? The only reason men have had the upper hand for so long is because you're bigger than us. Might is right is not an adequate reason for objectifying women. Your mothers would be disgusted with you.
Message: Saw your YouTube selection and couldn't believe anyone would ever interview such a hatefull, anti-woman person as Phyllis Shafley.. this is one bigoted, hateful woman. I've covered her back when I was in TV News. Saw her destroyed in a couple of debates. I didn't think any guys could produce a video so biased against all women. What do you want, women as they are in a Muslim Country. I was a Chaplain in Afghanistan for the Army during 2001-2002.. I'll bet the Taliban would've loved your video.. fit right in with their treatment of women of all ages. In fact though I was a chaplain I had to carry a side arm, had to shoot one member of the taliban before he could behead a woman for walking without a relative male in the street. The only thing that is different about your faith and mine is that mine embraces everyone else's personal relationship with God equally.
If you choose to live the way you do that's great but don't try to speak for God on the matter please. Especially if you're going to twist his words to fit your agenda about a woman's "place".

However, you err in assuming everyone shares your belief that your holy book is "god's word". It is not. Like any other ancient book, it is merely the product of men's imaginations.
Your Christian religion is in your head (just as bin-Laden's Islam is in his head). You people could never prove your religion's validity any more than I could accept its premises.
Like most modern decent people, I stand without apology for human rights, for the legal and civil equality of all people regardless of gender or race. When your chosen religion encroaches upon my freedom, civil rights or safety, your religion must take a back seat.
