Stacy and I just finished watching the new Gunn Brothers documentary, The Monstrous Regiment of Women. Here is my first impression…

WOW!

This is a documentary for the whole church. In a very sensitive yet straightforward way, the film exposes the many lies of feminism. Using the paradigm of the historic conflict between the great Reformer, John Knox and Mary, Queen of Scots, issues from abortion to modesty to complementary roles are explored. Additionally, the impact of feminism on our government, economy, and the family are detailed.
The all-female cast is real and genuine. The message is powerful. The addition of the metrical psalms were very moving. The message is so needed today.
The film presents the forgotten concept of Christocentricity. If there ever was a “centricity” to rally around (pardon the pun), it is this one. This is our goal with family reformation.
And, I must say, my wife’s commentary was great!
One note – there is a troubling scene of an actual aborted child. This may be too much for young eyes. But, the reality should send you to your knees seeking God’s forgiveness on a sinful nation.

Ladies against Feminism

Recently, my husband and I watched the brand new documentary The Monstrous Regiment of Women. We first heard of the film two years ago at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival and Colin and Emily Gunn have produced an incredible, well-researched, articulate, and powerful expose' of feminism, its agenda, and its far reaching, destructive influence on society. They do not just dwell on the negative, however, but give hope by standing firmly on God's Holy Word and revealing His high esteem of, and plan for, women.

The message of the Gunn Brothers' work is clear, and this is a message that our culture certainly finds highly offensive - feminism is a corruption of Biblical gender roles. While detractors of Biblical womanhood cry predictably that Godly womanhood is backwards, oppressive, retrograde and ignorant, the joy of women who embrace God's roles is clearly obvious on their faces, in their confident words and in their daily lives. The Gunn Brothers are bold enough to bring this message forth, expose the barren world view of feminism, display the bitter fruit of feminism, and proclaim the only path of true womanhood that leads to joy and fulfillment. This is a worthy film, certainly commendable to any Christian family or church, especially those who are standing firmly with feet on both sides of the fence regarding gender roles. Be prepared to be challenged, edified and encouraged by those who do not waver on God's Word.

Thank you Gunn Brothers for all the time and effort you invested in this much needed production.  May God raise up many more voices to cry against feminism!

I also want to say “Thanks” to all those folks at Gunn Productions for bringing this issue to the forefront, as the subject matter therein needs to be heard not only by those outside the Church, but many inside as well. Feminism has perniciously crept its way into the hearts and minds of women throughout our culture. Why? Well, ultimately, in my opinion, I think it’s due to the Men abdicating their roles as Protectors.

The Gunn Brothers did an excellent job in documenting from a Christian perspective how feminism has had a devastating impact on the church, state, and family.  Subjects covered include feminism and socialism, women in the military, modesty, women in the workplace, daycare, Margaret Sanger, abortion, Planned Parenthood, Hillary Clinton, birth control, Betty Friedan, and the woman’s role in the family.  This film served as a great encouragement not only for its exposé of the Feminist agenda, but its call for Christian wives and mothers to return to their honorable roles as defined in Scripture.
I think that this film is a breath of fresh air to those of us who are made to feel menial for pursuing such a biblical call, and serves as an encouragement for us to indeed fulfill the high calling of “keepers at home.”

In 54mins I managed to feel every emotion. Joy at see women like me serving God and their husbands, Anger at the lies I believed, sorrow at the abortion truths that this boldly shows, fear for the coming generation.

All I can say is WOW!!!

The Powers Family

Scottish filmmaker Colin Gunn and his brother Euan took the Jubilee Award for Best of Festival at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival for their film by the same name. This film lifts up the wet rock of feminism to expose what really lies beneath. Perhaps most shocking are the revelations about Planned Parenthood. Destroyed is the myth that this organization is about preventing unwanted pregnancies; when in reality it is actually in the business of creating as many teen pregnancies as possible in order to generate as many abortions as possible.

Of course I initially thought it was a cinematic version of that book of dubious sincerity (women dressed up as soldiers, vampires, what else!) by that scallywag Terry Pratchett*, but no, it's much better, a rousing condemnation of those wicked feminist creatures, immodesty, abortion and all those nasty unladylike things. Well done Gunn Brothers! It's about time right thinking people made one of those documentaries to tell the proper side of the story unlike that unpleasant left-wing fellow, Michael Moore - I'll tell you what's the Awful Truth, that man's sense of propriety!
